Built bypeople whoran the desk
BoomVersity is made by people who spent years at agency desks chasing documents, and by people who read those packages at colleges. We built the file we wished we had.
Studying abroad is still run on forwards, scans and promises. The file lives in three inboxes and belongs to none of them.
We built one file instead, and asked everyone to answer on it: the agency, the student, the family and the college.
BoomVersity is a pilot. We start with colleges across Canada outside Quebec, one at a time, by email first, then through the portal.
// Principles
The groundunder everyapplication
Five rules the platform keeps for everyone on a file. They are what a college is trusting when it opens a package from BoomVersity.
Named
The agency and the student are on every package and every event. Nothing on BoomVersity is anonymous or forwarded.
Reviewed
Agencies are reviewed before they can file; packages are checked for completeness before they leave.
Recorded
Every document version, request and decision is an event with a time and a name, kept on the file.
Shared the same way
The agency, the student, the family and the college see one status, at the same moment, in plain words.
Under the college’s name
Decisions are the college’s, letters are written and signed by the college. BoomVersity carries them; it never speaks for a school.
// Common ground
One file,four sides
Each side of an application gets its own view of the same file, stacked on the same record.

The desk that files once
Agencies invite, prepare and file from one queue, with the review green before anything leaves. Their name stays on the package.

02 · Students
A file that is the student’s
Filled in once, followed on a phone, with every letter downloadable from the file as the college sends it.
03 · Families
Approval from a link
Under 18, a guardian reads the summary and approves. Then they watch the same status as everyone else.
04 · Schools
Answered once, on the file
Colleges receive complete, named packages and record offers, conditions and enrolment as events, under their own name.
05 · The record
The ground under all of it
One record of who asked, who answered and what changed. It is what makes the file trustworthy to a college, and to a family.
