Acceptable use
Nine rules for everyone with access to a file on BoomVersity. They protect the students whose files these are.
01Use a file for its student
A file carries one student’s application. Do not file for a student without their permission, and do not put another person’s documents on a student’s file.
02Keep documents genuine
Upload only documents that are what they say they are. Altered or invented documents end the agency’s access and are reported to the colleges the file was sent to.
03Keep links and codes personal
Invitation links, guardian links and email codes belong to the person they were sent to. Do not forward them, post them, or use them to act for someone else. A guardian’s approval must come from the guardian.
04Only the information a file needs
Add only what the application needs. Keep notes factual, and do not put names, health details or other sensitive information into notes or AI requests unless the application requires it.
05No advice you are not licensed to give
Do not use the platform to give immigration advice unless you are licensed to give it where the student is (in Canada, a licensed immigration consultant or lawyer). The platform is not a channel for it.
06Respect the record
Do not try to change or delete events on a file. If something is wrong, ask for a correction; it is added as a new event with the reason.
07Use the platform as intended
Do not send spam through the platform, copy or scrape data, access it with bots or scripts we have not approved, share or resell your access, or use it to compete with the service.
08Security
Do not probe, scan or test the platform without written permission. If you find a security problem, tell us at support@boomversity.com and give us time to fix it before sharing it.
09If a rule is broken
We may warn, suspend or close the accounts involved, tell the students and colleges affected, and report matters to the authorities where the law requires.
